Font: ARC Brush Pen

These bolds font were created by hand using a Pentel Brush Pen (my favourite pen!) and a variety of other brush and felt tip pens.

Unlike a lot of handwritten fonts available, each letter was hand drawn using ink on paper; and not on an iPad. This gives a more authentic shape that doesn’t have all the automatic correction that writing/drawing apps include. These apps are great, but they’re to hand lettering what autotune is to singer. Useful and effective, but not quite authentic.

After being written on quality heavy weighted paper, each letter of these handwritten fonts is then digitised and converted to glyphs. The kerning (spacing between letters) for each letter combination is meticulously adjusted to an enhanced typing experience.

My fonts are not for perfectionists who like everything straight and looking like it was created by a computer, (I love and use a bunch of those fonts myself, these just aren’t them!). They are however perfect for big posters, artworks, digital marketing and social media where you’re looking to make a bold statement without losing that sense of human creativity.
