Script font Hello Monday SVG

Hello Monday is a handmade brush script font. It has a rough handwriting style with expressive brush marks. It has an energy about it and a kind of urban street style that if used sparingly is hard to ignore.

Every brush mark has been hand painted with acrylic paint and painstakingly converted to a typeface.

The typeface uses a new technology called Opentype-SVG, and Hello Monday is an OpenType-SVG bitmap font. That new technology not only gives you a realistic painted look, it also allows you to change the colour in Photoshop.

Some might say it’s got a hipster vibe, but I think it’s got a more of a carefree attitude. Nothing is perfect, the marks are dirty and irregular, but that makes it more unique and adds to its attitude.

I think it would be excellent for posters, book covers, wedding invites, cards, food and branding, cosmetics and anything where you want that trendy energetic street style look.

If this font were a celebrity it would be more Tom Hardy than Tom Jones—but it's still a bit of a sex bomb.

I've created 10 painted patterns that I used to help create the preview images. They are transparent black .png files. But as you can see in the preview images you can easily change the colour in photoshop and create a striking painted look.

Alternative Characters

The font is experimental, so you will have to play with the alternative glyphs and letter spacing. It has many alternatives, for both upper and lowercase glyphs. Lucky for you I've got a tutorial—see below.

The brush marks are transparent, to get a stronger, more solid look you can duplicate your type layers in Photoshop—the more you duplicate, the bolder the look.

The typeface also only comes in black, but it's straightforward to change in Photoshop. And yes, I have a tutorial for that too.

Boring but Important: Please Read thoroughly

This font will only work in Mac and PC Photoshop CC2017+ & Illustrator CC2018+. Windows (operating system) does not yet support bitmap fonts, thus you will not see your letters when you install the font. But it will work in the above applications.

Adobe Indesign does not fully support OpenType-SVG bitmap fonts. If you intend on using the font in indesign then please don't its not fully supported.

Non-Photoshop/Illustrator users you can still use the font but it a different way

If your software is too old I've provided high-resolution images for photoshop & PNG images, so you can still manually compose letterforms inside photoshop or your painting application of choice.

OpenType SVG font includes

A-Z uppercase and lowercase letters

No support for Western, Central or South Eastern Glyphs

Due to size limitations, it only includes Basic Latin A-Z and has no support for Western, Central or South Eastern European glyphs. As the OpenType-SVG technology evolves I may add support for Western, Central and South Eastern Glyphs—All updates are free.

Photoshop & PNG images

All the glyphs are included in a single Photoshop file; each glyph is approx 1200x1200 pixels at 300 DPI. Also included are cut out PNG images. These are sorted in order and called by their name.
