Maltese SVG Watercolor Font

Note: The SVG format requires Photoshop CC 2017 or Illustrator CC 2018 (or newer). Regular OTF version included can be read by any software.

Introducing Maltese an hand-painted SVG font with watercolor texture and transparency inspired by the sea!

Maltese is an all caps font family that comes in 2 different forms SVG & Solid with 2 styles each: regular & italic.

Maltese has been painted with an extreme care and edited to keep the maximum of the watercolor texture and details.

Each character of the font has been painted individually so letters from the regular and italic version don't look the same.

It will give your work a realistic watercolor look and a lovely handmade feel!

The SVG version can be installed like any other font, and can be used in any color on any background.

The solid version has been hand-lettered with a dip-pen and vectorized in a way that keeps the calligraphy texture of ink on the paper.

All 4 fonts include a full set of glyphs with uppercase, lowercase, alternates & ligatures, numerals & punctuation.

Maltese SVG: Regular/Italic • The hand-painted letters with a high-definition watercolor texture & transparency.

Maltese Solid: Regular/Italic • The vector version of the SVG. This one has been hand-lettered with a nib pen and keeps the imperfections and details of the ink on the paper.

Alternates & ligatures

Maltese is an all caps font with a full set of uppercase and a complete different uppercase set assigned to the lowercase to avoid duplication in the letters.

The SVG version requires Photoshop CC 2017 or Illustrator CC 2018 (or newer) to use.

The Solid version are in a traditional font format and can be used in any software though alternates and ligatures require a software that is Opentype capable. Most programs now are compatible with Opentype features.

Update 12/29/2021: Maltese now includes built-in diacritic letters for western Europe.

Due to limitations in the font file size, the SVG font does not have all accented characters built in, but but the following accents are included: ¨ ˜ ´ ˆ ` ˚ ˇ ˘.

The solid version includes multilingual characters for western and central and European languages. Feel free to message me if you're unsure of any language support.
