What about resolution?

There are lot of images, every single image have different resolution. Generally - You can use this graphics on the web with no problems. If you need print it, you have to proceed these images, because they have just 150DPI resolution. Anyway, if you need any image in larger resolution, you can always export it from adobe illustrator.

How badges works? It's easy. Download include list of few free holy-awesome fonts. (commercial use allowed). From these fonts are badges made. So you can install them, and rewrite blank text used in badges.
